Gerald Lee "Gerry" Moore Obituary
Gerald Lee "Gerry" Moore, 78, of Sunset Apartments, Quincy, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at his home.

Gerry was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Quincy, a son of James H. and Rose (Kartwright) Moore.

Gerry most recently had worked as a painter at Litteral Speedrack until his retirement. While in high school, he was a member of the drum and bugle corps. He went on to serve three years in the U.S. Army, where he completed pole and lineman school. Gerry was a proud 25-year member of Narcotics Anonymous and a sponsor for many. His pastimes included fishing, hunting and playing cards with his card group.

Survivors include his children, Troy Moore and his wife, Stacy Turnbow Moore, Todd Moore and his wife, Michelle, of Florida, Tonya Loball of Decatur, Ill.; a brother, Mike Moore and his wife, Norma, of Fowler; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jim, Melvin and Darrell Moore; and a sister, Shirley Moore.

SERVICES: Cremation rites have been accorded. A private burial with military honors will be in Sunset Cemetery.

VISITATION: There will be no visitation.

MEMORIALS: Narcotics Anonymous.
