Howard W. Jaynes Obituary
NEW LONDON, Mo. -- Howard W. Jaynes, 90, of rural New London, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 16, 2013) in the Luther Manor Nursing Center in Hannibal.

Mr. Jaynes was born Dec. 19, 1922, in rural New London, to Charles and Ada Muehring Jaynes Ransdell. He was married to Dorothy Piper on Feb. 15, 1942 in Hannibal. She died Jan. 30, 2003.

Mr. Jaynes was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed raising cattle and was a previous member of the Beefalo Association. He also liked stamp and coin collecting and loved trips with his wife to their winter home in Florida.

He was a lifelong member of Hydesburg Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Riley (Mike) of New London, Joyce Vahle (Wayne) of New London and Donna Puskar (Jim) of New London; grandchildren, Melanie Hudson, Derek Miller (Janet), Tammie Turner (Doug), Trina Cookson (Tim) and Sandra Schmits; stepgrandchildren, Terry Riley, Michelle Ryan, Ron Vahle and Sabra Streeter (Vernon, Jr.); great-grandchildren, Alex and Kendall Hudson, Hope, Faith, John and Elisha Miller, Brandi, Morgan and Brenna Turner, Joe IV and Kristen Schmits, Heather and Shyann Riley, Amanda Janes (Shawn), Mia, Isabella and Roman Vahle, Chance and Bryce Burkle and Evelyn and Tyler Streeter; great-great-grandchildren, Rylan Turner, Heidi Janes and Madilyn Romig.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Jaynes; his parents, Ada and Charles Ransdell; and his great-grandchildren, Tony Haynes and Kelsey Haynes.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday in the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. Helen McFarland will conduct. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Pallbearers will be Andy Woollen, Doug Turner, Tim Cookson, Derek Miller, Joe Schmits IV and John Briscoe. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Riley, Wayne Vahle, Jim Puskar, Johnny Muehring, Robin Tapley, Kerry Turner and Ed Cunningham.

VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Hannibal.

MEMORIALS: Hydesburg Methodist Church or Luther Manor Nursing Home in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
