Ronald Eugene "Mac" McIntosh Obituary
HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Ronald Eugene "Mac" McIntosh, 76, of Hannibal, died at 6:02 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Mac was born Oct. 20, 1941, in New London, a son of Edgar and Velma F. (Smith) McIntosh. He was united in marriage to Shirley J. Hinch on Aug. 11, 1989, in Hannibal.

Ronald graduated from Hannibal High School in 1959. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Mac worked as the manager at Wareco Gas Station in Hannibal for 33 years and later worked at Wal-Mart in Quincy for 13 years. After retiring from Wal-Mart, Mac worked for the Hannibal Cavemen a couple seasons.

Mac enjoyed the great outdoors. His interests included fishing, hunting (especially duck and goose), woodworking, working in his garden and keeping his lawn immaculate. He was an avid Cardinals fan and hardly ever missed watching a game on TV.

Mac's biggest love was his family and the time they spent together at gatherings, and the time spent with his grandchildren teaching them about his love for the great outdoors.

On April 14, 2018, Mac proudly boarded the 46th Great Honor Flight. This was something that he cherished and was proud of his service to his country.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley McIntosh of Hannibal; stepsons, Bill Bounds (Rocky) and Joseph L. Johnson (Nanette), all of Hannibal; stepdaughters, Tina M. Womack (Tracy) of Quincy and Sheri R.
