Shannon Marie Dye Obituary
Shannon Marie Dye, 33, of Columbia, Mo., went to meet her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at University Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Shannon was born June 4, 1984, in Quincy, a daughter of Timothy M. Leahy Sr. and Michele (Winters) Alger. She was married Sept. 1, 2007, at St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy to the love of her life, Brandon T. Dye, who survives.

She was a 2003 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and received her associate in arts degree from John Wood Community College, both in Quincy.

Shannon loved life and lived each day to the fullest. She loved adventures and spending time with her family and friends. With a beautiful smile, Shannon would light up a room, she never met a stranger and loved surprising people with special little gifts. She enjoyed hanging out with her dogs, gardening, crocheting, following the Missouri Tigers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center for the wonderful care and compassion extended to Brandon and Shannon throughout this difficult journey, as well as all those who helped by hosting benefits.

Besides her husband of 11 years, Shannon is survived by her mother, Michele Alger of Bloomington; her stepfather, Larry Alger of Quincy; maternal grandparents, Robert and Patricia Winters of Quincy; father-in-law, Brad (Karen) Dye of St. Louis; mother-in-law, Debra Dye of Quincy; sisters, Carrie (Steven) Robinson and Jennie (Michael) Acres and brother, Timothy M.
