ALBERT, Betty Muriel (Broders)

Betty Muriel Albert was born in St. Paul, MN on April 22, 1925 to Elizabeth and Henry Borders and passed away on Oct 29, 2017 at 92 years old in Sonora, CA. She married Merchant Marine Lt. Mason H. Albert of Decatur, Ill in St. Paul, MN. They moved to So Cal in 1945 and raised four children in Whittier. She was always involved in family activities including camping and spending time at their cabins in Landers and Jupiter, CA. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, aunt, cousin and a friend to many. She lived a full life filled with many adventures including trips to Europe, Alaska, Mexico and all over the USA. Upon retirement in 1980, they moved to their mountain hilltop cabin in Jupiter, CA. After Mason's death in 1982 she moved to Sonora and was an active member in the Cedar Ridge Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary until her death. She was an avid card player for more than 50 years enjoying her weekly game of Hand & Foot. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mason in 1982 and daughter Muriel in 1983. She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Keith & Carol Albert of SC, Russell & Diane Albert and Wesley & Mary Albert of CA, 6 Grandchildren, 9 Great grandchildren, Sisters; Elaine Swinland and Shirley Whitten and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
