On June 29th, 1942 she married her high school sweetheart Bill Martin and they were married almost 48 years when Bill died in 1990.

After Bill joined the Army in 1943 and was sent to Europe, Eleanor worked at the Western Union office in Whittier. Bill returned home in December 1945 and soon they started a family. The family moved to Brea, Ca when Bill became a Police officer in 1955 and then moved to La Habra, Ca. in 1959 when he transferred to that Department.
When the kids left home, Bill and Eleanor moved to Chino, Ca. She had typing and office experience and worked for Dennison's in the City of Industry until her retirement.
In 1988 they moved to Grants Pass to be close to son Don and daughter Janice.

Eleanor had hundreds of family photos including some from the 1800's and spent many hours organizing, copying and placing in memory books. She also included information from her Mother's diaries.

Eleanor was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Faithful Follower of Jesus Christ and found great joy in teaching Sunday School and Children's Church. Her Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren were her life.
