Died on December 10, 2020. He was a 60 year resident of Whittier. Born in Haines, Oregon on May 5, 1928 to Pierce Phillip Morin and Helen Mary (Fisher) Morin. Gerry grew up in Baker, OR. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard at the end of WW II. In 1949 married Marjorie Peterson in Idaho Falls. He played sousaphone when he went to school at Washington State University where he studied botany. He started his career at Boeing in Seattle and continued a career in the aerospace industry, working on the Apollo project with North American Rockwell. He ended his career with Boeing, as they had taken over Rockwell. Gerry was an avid gardener, and for a while raced homing pigeons. He was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served as an employment missionary for 18 years near the end of his life. He helped hundreds of people find or upgrade their employment. He was preceded in death by his son Tim Morin, and is survived by his wife, Margie, and children: Yvonne Shultz, Gregory Morin, James Morin, Linda Morin and Ian Morin. He was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
