Jacqueline Lahmae (LEWIS) Chester Jacqueline Lahmae (LEWIS) Chester, 93, a resident of Arcadia for 44 years, passed away on January 5, 2021. Born November 4, 1927, in Kempton MD to Mary Lewis and Harry Bowers, she served in the US Marine Corps from 1953 to 1954 before marrying her husband of 52 years, predeceased by her husband, John W. Chester Jr. Known for her heartwarming smile, Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She returned to school at 50 years old and, after earning her LVN license in 1980, spent 22 years with Arcadia Methodist Hospital. Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, John, and is survived by sister, Marlene Koch of MD; children Cynthia Schur, Thaddeus Chester, Jon Marie Galvan, and Sandra Booth; grandchildren Ryan and Maegan Chester, Allison and Jennifer Galvan, and Sam Schur; and several great-grandchildren. Interment at Riverside National Cemetery. Care entrusted to McAulay & Wallace, Fullerton. In Jackie's honor, donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
