Lee Squibb passed away on February 3, 2021 at her home in Gold Hill, OR. She was 76. Lee was born in Oakland, CA on June 26, 1944 to Woodrow and Viola Davis, she was the oldest of five children. Lee graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1962. She was married to Robert Clausen from 1962 to 1978. They had four children together; Todd 1964, Tim 1966, Greg 1970 and Tanya 1972. Her professional career included; working for the Monrovia School District, PTA President and at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory she held positions of senior executive secretary and administrative assistant to several of the Laboratories Assistant Directors ending her working career in 2001 as Administrative Assistant to the Manager of Institutional Computing. Lee married Gael Squibb in July of 1988 while both were working for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Washington D.C. Shortly after, he took a two-year assignment with the European Space Agency, which gave them the opportunity to live in both The Netherlands and Germany. While in The Netherlands, Lee attended culinary school and graduated with a certificate in French Cordon Bleu cooking. Throughout her life she has lived in Jacksonville, OR; Monrovia, CA; La Crescenta, CA; Reston, VA; Wassenaar The Netherlands; Garching, Germany; Concord, MA; Pasadena, CA and then in Gold Hill, OR for the last 16 years. Lee loved to travel, see new places and learn about new cultures. She would spend hours researching travel books prior to a trip to find where to go and the best places to eat. Lee excelled in entertaining and sharing her knowledge of travel and food with family and friends. Lee used her culinary skills to throw wonderful dinner parties that amazed her guests. Her Shih Tzus, Buddy and Beau were a wonderful part of her life in Gold Hill. She brought joy to people's heart, and loved life to the fullest. Lee is survived by her husband Gael Squibb, Children Todd (Jamie) Clausen, Tim Clausen, Greg (Priscilla) Clausen and Tanya Bonnette, David (Sara) Squibb and Matt (Teresa) Squibb, 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by her parents and sister Betty McLain. There will be a family graveside service in Jacksonville, OR sometime in the future.
