R. Johnson Obituary

R. Craig Johnson of Biddeford, ME passed away peacefully on Monday, June 18. Craig was born on August 23, 1944 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Roy Theodore Johnson and Carol Bebee Johnson. He graduated from Princeton University in 1966 with a degree in Mathematics. Craig was a long time resident of Boxborough and member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary parish before he and his wife retired to Maine. He was on the committee that established the Acton-Boxborough youth soccer league and was a coach for many years. Craig leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 44 years Elizabeth (Tish) Johnson as well as their three children: Elise Leighton and her husband Adam of Germantown, MD, Leah Yerre and her husband Andrew of Sherborn, MA and Sean Johnson also residing in Germantown, MD. He also leaves behind a brother, Steve Johnson and his wife Marty of Menlo Park, CA. He will be missed by his four grandchildren, Holden and Gavin Leighton and Camden and Wyatt Yerre as well as many nieces and nephews. Craig's favorite moments were spent with his family and friends: gardening with his wife, playing with his grandchildren, watching ND football, playing cribbage or pinochle or quietly doing a puzzle. One of his favorite hobbies was refinishing antique steamer trunks. A private memorial service will be held for his family. Instead of flowers, donation can be made @ www.restorationproject.org

To Craig Johnson's family, I was so sorry to hear about his passing. I when to Talcott Jr. High and Conard High School with Craig. Spoke with him a few months ago about our 50th class reunion from Conard. I am glad we had that conversation. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sean, I am sorry I won't be able to make it to the funeral to convey my condolences to your family in person. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your father. Thank you for being there last year when my mother passed. Our parents live on in us and in their grandkids. Sincerely,
