My thoughts and prayers are with Joe and his entire family during this difficult time. Joe was kind enough to employ me as a landscaper, and I have many fond memories of working along side of him. The days were long, but the laughs were plentiful. I'll always remember Joe paying well and picking me up and dropping me off each day, even though I lived very close by. What I can't recall was Joe ever being anything but pleasant and grateful for all of the blessings he had--first and foremost his family and friends.

To Joe's Family:

It's often said that we can all measure our life in the impact we had on those around us. I learned of his illness & passing all on the same day -I'm so glad I was able to attend the visitation at St. Joe's. The world is a poorer place without him here -although Heaven is certainly richer! My parents were able to live on their own in Belmont, until they passed. Joe was a wonderful help in this regard, in particular when my Dad was going thru dialysis treatments 3 times a week. He had to get there in winter, no matter what -Joe would make sure it was safe for him. Joe was an amazing man, a good friend & did top notch work. But I will always remember his kindness towards my family!

"May God support us all the day long, until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes and the busy world is hushed and our work is done. Then, in God's mercy, may God grant us a safe lodging,a Holy rest, and Peace at last. Amen" (Cardinal John Newman) Sometimes it seems like our work is not done when God "calls" us "home". As best friend to MaryAnn about 50yrs, I feel deep sadness knowing Joey is no longer walking and talking, laughing and loving with those of us "left behind". Peggy, MaryAnn, Tommy, Jane and families, may God comfort and heal you in your grief. He was a great man and will certainly be missed.
