Frances Rhindress Obituary

Frances A. Rhindress, 99, of Sugar Hill, Dalton, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at Springside Skilled Care Center, Pittsfield. She was born in Manchester, NH, on October 15, 1912, to Frank Emil and Anna (Thibodeau) Kallenberg. She was a former resident of Harwich Port and Stoneham, Mass. She worked in retail sales in Boston and, after moving to Cape Cod, headed the thrift shop at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich Port for many years and was active in the Friends of Albro House. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Frank W. Rhindress, her brothers Harold and Arthur Kallenberg and her baby sister Florence. She is survived by her son Richard C. Rhindress and his wife Meredith of Stephentown, NY, and her grandson Thomas A. Rhindress and his wife Sarah Galbraith of Yorktown Heights, NY. The private burial will be at Island Pond Cemetery, Harwich, at the convenience of the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was a private caregiver at Sugar Hill and was very fond of your Mother. We had many a hearty chuckle, hanging out at the second floor elevator. She was quite the storyteller.
