Antonio Fantasia of Bridgewater, formerly of Quincy, died April 1, 2021, after a brief illness. He was 81. Born in Gaeta, Italy, on April 21,1939, he was the son of the late Filippo and Maria Fantasia. He emigrated to the United States where he worked as a carpenter and met his wife of fifty one years. After his marriage to Jennie in 1965, they settled in Quincy for many years. He was the devoted father of the late Philip Fantasia. He is survived by his two sons, Anthony Fantasia and his wife Shannon of Bridgewater and Joseph Fantasia and his wife Maureen of Weymouth; loving uncle to Paul Ciavardini, his wife Joanna, and their children George and Olivia; as well as Filippo Fantasia, his wife Carla, and their children Gaia, Marco, and Elisa. He is also survived by his siblings Paolo, Gino, Rosa, Lina, and Pia, all of Italy; and his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Nicholas, Maddison, Luke, Linda, John, Talon, Joseph, Angelina, and Philip. His strength, love, and stories will be dearly missed. Services will be held at Boston Cremation, 116 Franklin St., Quincy, on Friday, April 9, from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
