I want to pay my respect for a very determined person. I worked at Kamp for Kids in 1979-80. It was eye opening to say the least. I'll never forget our camping trip to Crotched Mtn. I don't think I've ever been around a group of more committed people-young and old.

Dearest Rick, Russ, and especially Rob- there are no words to describe what your mom's example has meant to me, from those early Kamp and ASHS days, all the way up to now. She taught me SO much- her heart lives on through the countless that she touched. Godspeed, Judy, and THANK YOU.

To Judy's family,
My mother just gave me the news about Judy's passing, and I was very sorry to hear it. I haven't seen her since I was a kid, but I will always remember her as a very strong woman with a great smile. My thoughts are with you.

Dear family and friends of Judy. I was so saddened to hear the news about Judy. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. So many wonderful memories. I worked at East Mt. Center when you started ASHS and Kamp for Kids. You taught me how to be an advocate for my son and all three of my children went to Kamp for Kids. You were steadfast in your convictions and I so admired that about you. You never gave up no matter what the challenge. Your legacy will live on and on.

To Judy's family and friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have so many wonderful memories of working with Judy during the start up days of ASHS and Kamp for Kids. All my children went to the Kamp. For some children it was the first time they have ever been able to play with kids that did not have disabilities. Her legacy has grown and fostered many wonderful opportunities for those with disabilities. Pauline Curry Westfield

Judy,
You gave me the opportunity to enter the field of Human Services, you see, I lived on East Mt. Rd. so at the age of 14 I was honored to be one of the first volunteers for a new summer camp called, "Kamp for Kids" I could walk there! I worked for you for almost a decade. During that time I learned much of the treatment received in folks lives within institutions. I was there the day Belchertown State School closed it's doors. Profound experiences and hopefully making a small difference in someones life. I formed friendships that I still have after 20 years. No matter where life's road had taken you, I hope you found peace and now rest soundly in it.

To Judy's family and friends:
It is with great sadness that I send to you my deepest sympathy. I had the privilege of working with Judy in the public schools when she was serving as a special needs advocate. She was knowlegeable, strong and effective in bringing families and schools onto the same page. Later, she joined me in Southwick in developing programs for young people transitioning from school to the world of work.
What a vibrant person she was, so full of energy and a constant flow of ideas.
She will be greatly missed.

Judy was my first "true" boss and a wonderful person to work with and for.
She taught me so much, about myself and people with disabilities/abilities.
I enjoyed running the afterschool program for children and their families with Judy from 1985-1988.
We had alot of laughs and cries together. I am so blessed to have known Judy and her wonderful family.
May god bless you all.

Judy was my best friend forever, and there are so many happy memories of our school years, as well as the fun times we had together dragging our kids (7 boys) all over the place. They were times of laughter and love.
With love and sympathy to each and every one of you.

My dear and loyal friend, Judy devoted her life to helping others, to participating in community affairs, and most of all, to her treasured family and friends.

I cherish every moment we had together; she was not only my friend, but my sons' and brothers' and their spouses and their childrens' friend as well. Our family liaison when I was desperately ill, Judy did everything in her power to be of assistance.

Free of pain now, may she rest in peace, and may "Shalom" be hers unto eternity!

Judy had a profound effect on my life and my work with individuals with disabilities. It started at Kamp for Kids in 1975. I am so happy that I got a chance to see her a few years ago when I visited her in CT. We hadn't seen each other in 30 years but it was if time had stood still.
My heart goes out to Russ, Rob and Rick.
