Donald B. Ashman, Jr., 69 of Diamond Bar, CA (previously of Stow, MA) passed away on April 2nd after a period of declining health. Donny was born on Nov. 13, 1951 in New Port, VT to Donald B. Ashman (deceased) and Claire A. Ashman (of Hudson, MA) and was raised with his 11 siblings in Gleasondale/ Stow, MA. Donny graduated from Nashoba Regional High School and after graduating, jumped into his career in sales. Shortly thereafter he and his Uncle Mike traveled to California where Donny fell in love with his California girl, Claire P. Ashman, and since then they have been happily married for 46 years. Donny loved life and lived in the moment. He loved music and playing cards. But above all, he loved his large and loving family and was never happier than at an Ashman get-together. He was known to be the life of the party and made sure everybody not only enjoyed themselves, but felt like family. His spunk for life will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Claire (Daigneault) Ashman and his brothers and sisters: Janet Kettle of Hudson, MA, Kaye (Joe) Cacciatore of Stow, MA, Robert (Pam) Ashman of Lancaster, MA, Laurie (Jim) Marcheterre of Hudson, MA, (Karen) Ashman of Leominster, MA, David (Carole) Ashman of Hudson, MA, Chris (Jeanne) Ashman of Powhatan, VA, Stephen Ashman of Northborough, MA, Joanne (Jerry) Webb of Clinton, MA and Mark (Karin) Ashman of Hudson, MA. He is also survived by his many beloved nieces and nephews. Donny was predeceased by his brother Larry and sister-in-law Regina Ashman, brother-in-law Robert Maguire, brother Richard Ashman and sister-in-law Diane Ashman. His funeral will be held on Monday May 3, 2021 at St. Michael's Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA at 9:00am with a burial to follow at Brookside Cemetery, 36 Gleasondale Rd., Stow, MA.
