Colman J. Burns-Takki

Colman J. Burns-Takki of Marshfield passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 32, after a sudden acute illness. He was the beloved son of Andrew J. Takki and Lyn Burns of Marshfield and grandson of the late Eleanor and Tom Burns and Martti and Victoria Takki. Dear brother of Brendan A. Burns-Takki of Kingston, Colman also leaves an uncle, Richard Takki, and many cherished friends. He was the nephew of the late Mark Burns and Bobby and Larry Takki. Colman was an accomplished and fine musician. He was an excellent drummer who also sang, played guitar, and was a prolific songwriter. Colman was well known and respected in the local and New England punk rock community. He played all over the region and sang at open mics and shows. Colman was loved by all. He was the kindest, gentlest and most genuine person you could ever meet. He always had a kind or encouraging word for friends and strangers alike. His smile was contagious and his sense of humor was razor sharp but always kind. Quick with a joke or a shoulder to cry on; Colman was always there for his friends and family. Colman loved life, music, animals, the beach, and his friends above all else. Known by all as "CJ", Colman was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew, and loyal friend. He was loved deeply and will be dearly missed. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2021, from 1 to 4 p.m. with a service at 4 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, in Marshfield.
