Richard "Rick" A. Lindsay Jr., age 53, a longtime resident of Hanover, and most recently of Florida, passed away peacefully February 19, 2021. Loving husband of Janine L. Lindsay. Proud Dad to Brittany Lindsay and boyfriend Kyle McGinn of Carver, Katherine Lindsay and boyfriend Zachary Arcaro of Franklin, along with their mother Linda Hynes of Rockland. Stepdad to Ashleigh Mahoney and fiance William Stoddard of Weymouth, and Adam Mahoney of Rockland. Poppy to Amelia Stoddard. Beloved son of Richard A. and Mary L. (Powers) Lindsay Sr. of Florida. Also survived by Denise and her husband Peter Stoddard of Hanover, Dennis and his wife Tina Lindsay of Hanover, Scott and his wife Michele Lindsay of Grosse Pointe, MI. Son-in-law to Linda Mahoney of Rockland. He leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Rick was a longtime member of the IBEW 103 Electrical Union. Former member of Hanover Fire Department and served in the U.S. Army 3rd Armored Cavalry. Rick loved what he did and would do anything for you. He had a true passion for teaching his skills to his former workers. He enjoyed spending time fishing and being outdoors with family and friends. Rick touched everyone he met in a special way. He had a big heart and will be truly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Rte. 53, Hanover. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's memory to the Farnum Center. Mr. Lindsay,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army as a a member of the 3rd Armored Cav(Brave Rifles!) and later for the citizens of Hanover when you served with the HFD. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
