David Kent Damm was born March 12, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed on Feb. 10, 2019 at Tri-County Nursing Home at the age of 82.
David grew up in Cleveland and moved to Florida in 1970. He was a jack-of-all-trades and eventually put himself through school to be a radiographer; working 18 years at the V.A. Hospital in Gainesville. After retiring, he and his wife bought an RV and travelled for many years.
He had many hobbies and talents. He loved fishing and camping, taught himself to be a gourmet chef and how to oil paint; landscapes being a favorite. He was a great jokester, always teasing and lots of shenanigans.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis Damm; his daughter, Denise (Mike) Pursley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his son, Darryl Damm; his daughter, Donna Damm Kulp and his parents and siblings.
David was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mike Pursley, 7991 NE 66th Place, Bronson. Phone: 352-949-6441. All who knew him are welcome to attend.
