Jack E. Grandon
January 5, 1931 - December 10, 2020
Jack E. Grandon, 89, of Benicia passed away Thursday following a brief illness. He was born in Parsons, Kansas and lived several years in Willits before moving to Benicia about 20 years ago. He owned and operated a publications business for many years but most of the people of Benicia would remember him working at Benicia Health & Fitness Club.
Jack served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Jack was the founder of the Willits Christmas Motorcycle Toy Run and was a former Kansas State Featherweight boxing champion. Jack and his former wife were also accomplished dancers and won several competitions.
He is survived by his children Lisa (Larry) Scheff, Patty (Buzz) McDonagh, Kevin (Lisa) Grandon and Denise (Michael) Maher; his brother Jay Grandon; sister Jaetta Kent and his grandchildren Robert Ray, Alec Ketron, Rachel Ernst, William Scheff, Samuel Ketron,Aaron Scheff, Christian Grandon and Jasmine Maher; and his great grandchildren Ryder, Raegan, Rowynn Ray, Cameron, Ruby & Julia Ketron and James, Theodore & Ezra Ernst.
