Lois E. Higgins

1945 - 2015

Lois E. Higgins, 70, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.
She was born May 15, 1945 in Seco. Ky. to the late Ralph Watson and Irene (Ashley) Pigg. Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved being a grandma. She was a great cook, pet lover, and enjoyed putting out a garden every year. She was a member of Triumphant Christian Center and was very involved with her church and church activities.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Wayne Higgins whom she married May 16, 1970; children, Gary (Beth) Higgins of Greenville, Franklin (Stephanie) Higgins of Richmond, Texas, Shane (Tess) Higgins of West Milton, Ohio, David Higgins of Greenville; grandchildren, Erica Greer, Vincent Higgins, Daylon Poston, Danielle Poston, ,Dustin Higgins, Corey Higgins, Ian Higgins, KC Higgins, Becca Higgins; great grandchildren, Hayden, Alexis, Natiley, Logan, Kinlee, Isaac, Wesley, Steven; sister, Helen Davis of Orange Park, Fla.; sister-in-law, Kay Pigg of Winchester; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven brothers and sisters.
A celebration of life service is 11 a.m. Sunday at Triumphant Christian Center 1129 South Towne Court, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Sam Shilot officiating. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Monday at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends may visit prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Sunday, also at the church. Family request memorial contributions be given to American Diabetes Association and Cancer Association of Darke County. Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, is in charge of services.
