Doris Bishop

BISHOP, Doris H. (nee McDonald) Passed away peacefully on July 31, 2011 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Predeceased by her husband, Allen (2003). Beloved mother of Garry (Michelle), Barbara Newman (Dennis), Diane White, and Ray (friend Robin). Loving grandmother of Tara, Lara and Heath (Diane) Bishop, Kevin and Jason Newman, Sonia Clews (Ian) and Tammy White, Brent, Allen (Michelle), Carolyn and ten great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Hugh and Lena McDonald, step-daughter of the late Leah. Sister of Marion Stockwell (Goldie). Predeceased by brothers Mack and Bill McDonald. Special thanks to the entire staff at Southgate Residence for their exemplary care and compassion. Doris was known by most in Kingsville as 'the bicycle lady', still riding daily through town at the age of 85. At Doris' request, cremation has taken place and no visitation will be held. A graveside memorial service will be held at Ruthven North Cemetery on Thursday, Aug. 4th at 12:00 o'clock noon. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or the Windsor & Essex Alzheimer Society.
