DeCARLO, Tommy Born Oct 24th, 1916, passed peacefully on November 14, 2010. Happily married to Marion Major-DeCarlo for 12 years, Tom now joins his beloved 1st wife, Thelma Margaret, (1995), and his brothers Albert, (2007) and Guido. Tom is survived by his sister Phyllis in British Columbia and by his daughters, Beverly Beauvais of Montreal and Carol Kowalski and husband Jerry of Michigan. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Cheryl Scott and fiance Kevin, Trevor Gamache, (deceased), Nancy, Karen, Stephen and Jennifer as well as great grandchildren Krystie, Lindsay, Thomas Small in Ontario, Sarah Paranich in Pa. US and Kyle Kontny in Que. Tom's step family, who adopted him with open arms, will miss him dearly for the love and devotion shown for our mother, Marion. They are Lorna Beaudoin & Bernard, Janet Atherton & John, Beverly White and Gary (2008), Ted Major(2003) and Shirley, Doug Major & Virginia, Gary Major (1978), Reg Major & Laurie and Tim Major. He leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren that will miss him dearly.Tom was retired from CN Rail and was one of the oldest WWII veterans in Essex County He was a life long member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 157 and Branches in Trenton & Montreal. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 157 Poppy Fund. Visitation will be held at the James Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg, (519-736-2134) on Wednesday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Legion Service Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m..Funeral Service Thursday November 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Stan Fraser officiating. Cremation to follow. You may leave your online condolences at www.jhsutton-funeral.ca A tree will be planted in memory of Tommy in the Sutton Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held Sunday September 25, 2011. All are welcome

GOD BLESS Uncle Tommy.......memories of Montreal at the DeCarlo house hold...the shaving cream fights ,poper nights,the meals, Grandad`s wine.ALSO... When you & Uncle Albert came up to British Columbia the fun we all had.P.S. Remember the "röpe",so I could keep you all together!! Lol You were a funny guy...& we will all miss you. Tom was a wonderful character - his warmth of character and sense of humour were clearly seen in his interactions with those who knew him. We enjoyed all of our visits with Tom and Aunt Marion. He will be missed but fondly remembered.
