Pelner, Dorothy C.
Dorothy C. Pelner, age 97, formerly of 1061 14th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Wisconsin Rapids Care Center.
Funeral Services are 11:30 AM Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. John Steiner will officiate. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Monday from 10:30-11:30 AM.
Dorothy was born July 6, 1915 in Milladore, WI to Frank and Mary (Brandle) Hoffmann. She married Joseph Pelner on April 10, 1933 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Blenker, WI. Dorothy, at one time, was employed at Fey Publishing. She enjoyed gardening and was a long time worker for funeral lunches at St. Vincent de Paul Church.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Ronald (Adeline) Pelner of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; son in law, Howard Vruwink of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and daughter, Elizabeth "Betty" Vruwink.
Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is handling all arrangements.
