Haferman, Yvonne J.
Yvonne J. Haferman, 77, of Wisconsin Rapids, died Saturday, January 05, 2013, at Strawberry Lane Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 8th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Yvonne was born May 5, 1935 in Wisconsin Rapids to Fred and Edna (Foard) Ebert. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1952. On June 18, 1955 she married Edward Haferman at St. John Lutheran Church in Sigel.
Yvonne was employed by Consolidated Papers Inc. from 1952 until 1955. She was then employed as a legal secretary for attorney John Jeffrey until his retirement and then for the law firm of Hill and Walczak until her retirement in 1995.
She did extensive traveling with her husband including vacations out west and to Niagara Falls, the Smoky Mountains, Florida, Hawaii, and Acapulco, Mexico. She was very active during her life participating in roller skating, ice skating, bowling, golfing, swimming, volleyball, and Jazzercise.
Yvonne enjoyed animals especially her many dogs, Pal, Lucky I, Chris, Sasha, and Lucky II.
Survivors include her husband, Edward, of Wisconsin Rapids; one daughter, Pam (Allen) Witt of Biron; and one sister, Rena (Donald) Akins of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Wood County Humane Society.

Ed, Pam and Alan, My deepest sympathy to you in your loss of Yvonne. Yvonne was such a wonderful person and I am so glad I got to know her over the years. May you hold happy memories in your hearts forever. There is a new bright star shining in the sky. Please find comfort from its light.
