Harvey was born on November 26, 1926 in Auburndale, to Arnold and Mary (Gotz) Krings. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from March 15, 1946 until his honorable discharge on September 14, 1947. On October 28, 1948, he married the woman who would be the love of his life for 65 years, Florence C. Weinfurter, at St. Kilian's Cathoic Church, Blenker. She died on May 27, 2013.

Harvey owned his own trucking business and then was employed for the Wood County Highway Department for 18 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons, fishing, camping and trips to the casino. Harvey was a wonderful father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.

Harvey is survived by a daughter, Sue (Randy) Seidl of Marshfield and five sons, Dennis (Sue) of Arpin, Donald (Cindy) of Milladore, Gary (Norma) of Nekoosa, David (Mary Jo) of Sherry and Gregory (Brenda) of Wisconsin Rapids. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers, Melvin (Dawn), Ronald (Debbie), James, sisters, Eunice (Bill) Bowden and Rosie Below, sisters-in-law, Sandy Krings and Charlene Krings and a brother-in-law Don Hahn.

I meet Harvey, and his wife Florence when I worked at the Hewitt House in 2013. He was a joy to be around. We would sit on the back patio, and have the fire pit going. And have a beer or two. Over the years i would stop out and check on him.Harvey you will be missed. But your with Florence again. R. I. P. My friend..
