Robert William "Bob" Forster, Sr., 84, De Pere, died Monday, June 3, 2013. He was born December 31, 1928, in Milwaukee, WI, to Eugene and Josephine (Seyler) Forster.

Bob married Marjorie Helen Kroening in Wisconsin Rapids. They have been happily married for 62 years.

Bob served 26 years in the U.S. Navy, working as an Air Controlman. In 1978, he retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. After retirement from the Navy, Bob and Marjie built a home in Wisconsin Rapids. While living there, he worked at Port Edwards Paper Mill in Nekoosa. In 1992, Bob retired from the paper mill and moved with Marjie to a home they built in North Fort Myers, FL. They resided there until March, 2013.

Bob enjoyed diving and swimming, golfing, and bowling when he wasn't working outside in the yard and garden. He was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in North Fort Myers, during which time he helped with the formation and building of their preschool.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marjorie Helen (Kroening) Forster; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Lee and Herman Fiess, Donna Jean "Rocky" and Michael Calawerts; a son, Robert William "Bill" Forster, Jr. and his loving companion, Ruth Walkowiak; five grandchildren, Ashley Stalter, Chip Fiess, Lucas, Brady and Nate Calawerts; two great-grandchildren, Lily and Sam Stalter.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday. The Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. To send on-line condolences please go to
