Betty Ann Regalia Obituary
Regalia, Betty Ann

Betty Ann (Rosenquist) Regalia, 71, of Port Edwards, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at the House of Dove in Marshfield. Betty had ovarian cancer for six years, and battled with faith, grace, and dignity.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Veedum Moravian Church, 9158 Cty. Rd. E, Pittsville, her childhood church home. Family will greet friends, Saturday, May 27, 2017 beginning at 9:30 AM at the church until the time of service. Pastor Wanda Veldman will officiate the service followed by a luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Trinity Lutheran Church, Port Edwards c/o Betty Regalia Memorial.

Betty was born September 24, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids to Granville and Marie (Billington) Rosenquist. She grew up on the family farm in Veedum, milking cows, and helping her father with his famous "Chevrolet Junk Yard". She learned many family values from her mother Marie and her Grandpa and Grandma Rosenquist at their home near Vesper, in the summers. She attended Wallace School and graduated from Pittsville High School in 1963. At her junior prom she was crowned Class Prom Queen, and high school sweetheart Alan her king.

Betty loved to read, the challenge of a puzzle, feeding her birds and tenderly loved her many special cats over the years. Each fall she graciously helped serve at the annual Stan Plis Club Buffalo Feed, which she so enjoyed. Betty never would own any car but a Chevy, and was a wonderful dedicated caregiver to her grandmother and father.

She anticipated yearly her summer annual trip to North and South Twin Lakes near Phelps, sitting in a swing under her favorite tree reading a great book, and boating on the lake.

Betty worked at People's State Bank in Pittsville for 3-1/2 years. Betty and Alan were married October 1, 1966 in Pittsville, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past October. Then Betty was employed at the Port Edwards Paper Mill office, Nekoosa Papers GNN, and Georgia Pacific for 38 years. She retired in 2010, establishing many special co-worker friends, Stan, Rod, Bob, Dick, Mike, Doug, Marlyce, Lynn, Shirley, Bonnie, Sandy and many more.

Betty is survived by her husband Alan of Port Edwards; daughter, Stacy (Craig) Ternouth of Port Edwards; granddaughter Andrea Regalia of Green Bay and grandson Ryan Ternouth of Port Edwards. A devoted mother and grandmother, loving her grandchildren to "the moon and back"! She is further survived by her mother, Marie Rosenquist of Pittsville, brothers and sisters in-law, Judy Regalia, Craig (Vi) Regalia, Kay (Paul) Larson and many special nephews, nieces and special friends, Kevin Minor and Trent Miner.

Betty was preceded in death by her father Granville "Granny" Rosenquist, grandparents Oscar and Martha Rosenquist, Archie and Mathilda Billington, and special brother in-law, Duane Regalia.

Special thanks to Pastor Dan Bohn of Trinity Lutheran Church at Port Edwards where Betty and Alan are members, for his visits and comforting words for Betty at the House of Dove. Pastor Dan was a special pastor to Betty Special thanks to the staff at the House of Dove, Lori the team leader, and all staff members. You were so amazing.

Special thanks to Dr. Fagbemi and staff of nurses for all the chemo treatments that kept Betty going for six years, and Becky Bennett in the Lab.
