Dale A. Koeshall, age 70, of 1719 Cty. Rd. GG, Nekoosa, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his home.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM. at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Fran Trochta, Hospice Chaplain will officiate. A memorial visitation will held on Tuesday from 4-7 PM and on Wednesday from 10-11 AM at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa with military rites by Nekoosa VFW Post 5960. Online condolences may be expressed at

Dale was born April 27, 1943 in Wisconsin Rapids to Alvin and Grace (La Rock) Koeshall. He married Rose Ann (Blossfield) on November 11, 1972. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960 and went into the US Army in 1960, where he served as a MP (Military Police) and dog trainer. Following his service in the military, he was a salesman for several different companies in and out of the Wisconsin Rapids area.

Dale was an avid outdoorsman. In later years, after the children were grown, he greatly enjoyed the time outdoors with Rose Ann, when she began hunting and fishing with him. After that, his greatest love was his grandkids, as each one of them had him wrapped around their finger.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann of Nekoosa; daughter, Stacy Gear of Nekoosa and her 2 daughters, Rachel and Haylee Glaza; granddaughter, Nicole Koeshall; daughter, Teresa (Eric) Zbleski of Nekoosa and their children, Chelsea and Justin Zbleski; 4 brothers, Jim (Shirley) Koeshall of Nekoosa, Don (Diane) Koeshall of Rockton, IL, Bob (Carol) Koeshall of Wisconsin Rapids, and Dick (Pam) Koeshall of Pittsville; 2 sisters, Judy Fajnor of Wisconsin Rapids, and Cindy (John) Turbin of Wisconsin Rapids; and special nephew, Mike Koeshall of McHenry, IL. He is further survived by his mother in-law, Dolly Blossfield of Nekoosa; 1 sister in-law, Sharon Olsen of Nekoosa; and 2 brothers in-law, Todd and Bill Blossfield of Nekoosa.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Koeshall, his mother, Grace Zinda, his son, Shawn Koeshall, stepfather, Zip Zinda, his sister, Peggy Koeshall, his brother, Jerry Koeshall, father in-law, Ray Blossfield, and brothers in-law, Jim Blossfield, Robbie Blossfield, David Olsen, and John Fajnor.
