Dolores June Zager

Wisconsin Rapids - Formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, died at the age of 93 on December 20, 2020 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Dolores was born June 24, 1927 in Rewey, WI to Irene and Reid Gibbon. She married Donald Arthur Zager on June 19, 1948 in Rewey. They made their home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI for fifty-four years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church there. She worked as an accountant for twenty years at a paper manufacturing company in Port Edwards, WI. In 2002 they moved to Webster, NY to be near a son and his family. There she was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fairport, NY for eighteen years.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Daniel (Katharine) Zager of Penfield, NY, and the Rev. Paul (Linda) Zager of Suttons Bay, MI, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Donald, her husband of 59 years, in 2007; her parents; two sisters, Alice Rosenberger and Aletha Miller; and two brothers-in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fairport, NY at a date to be determined. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery Mausoleum in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
