Elma Busch Taylor, age 97, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Memorial Services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Father Patric will officiate. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM. Entombment at a later date. Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is assisting the family.

Elma was born December 31, 1919 in New Rome, WI to Joseph and Eva (Irwin) Busch. She married George Taylor on May 3, 1938 and they had one daughter from this union, Sharon Rae (Wayne) Taylor Oleson. She has two surviving sisters, Josephine Romanski and Blanche Schulter, both of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; many nieces and nephews; and other special "family", Scott, Nancy and Tava Mortenson, Eric (Lori) Oleson, Kirk (Debbi) Oleson, Rick (Angela) Oleson, Susan Boehn, Joan Smiley, Joyce Gear, Sue Miller and Marcella Lovesee.

Elma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George; sister, Mary Crotteau and son-in-law, Joseph Pickart.

Elma was a department manager and buyer at Johnson's Hills for 20 years and then established her own business as Taylor's Decorating Service for 20 years. Elma was a licensed interior decorator graduating from New York School of Design.

Elma was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader where she assisted as a camp director; was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and was active in their PCCW; was a member of the Ladies Elks and Elks Foundation since 1976 and was a long time member of the Riverview Hospital Auxiliary, participating in the Yellow Brick Road and was organist at the Riverview Manor for church services.

Elma was a member of the National and local AARP #1073 where she served as secretary; was publicity chairperson for CDA Court #690; was President of St. Ann's Main Club for 9 years and was a volunteer helping Senior Citizens to church, breakfast and shopping.

Elma was a member of the Homestead, Ridges and Tri-City Golf Leagues being secretary of the Tri Cities Ladies. She was also a member of the Community Center with an honorary card. Elma enjoyed cards, playing golf and was a member of the Tuesday Breakfast Club.
