Wisconsin Rapids - Gladys A. Marth, age 90 of Nekoosa passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. Rev. Timothy Miller will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa. Gladys was born September 16, 1927 in Wisconsin Rapids to Lloyd and Dora (Rhinehart) Ratelle. She married Arthur Marth on May 23, 1953 in Wisconsin Rapids. He died May 23, 2009.

Gladys and Art enjoyed vacations to a cabin on Musser Lake in Phillips. She enjoyed her birds, especially cardinals, spring time flowers and her deer lawn ornaments. She and her brother Roger had a band called Rhythm Rascals. Gladys played the accordion by ear and could sing a pretty good tune. She loved listening to polka music. Her favorite singer was Eddie Arnold. She loved to cook, her specialties were her soups and the Thanksgiving feast. Gladys loved family gatherings.

Gladys is survived by six children Linda (Larry) Dye of Wisconsin Rapids, Paula (Ken) Lewis of Nekoosa, Loreen (James) Haumschild of Arpin, Beverly (Lyle) Lowell of Wisconsin Rapids, Donna (Steve) Cook of Phillips, and Al (Cheryl) Marth of Wisconsin Rapids; Grandchildren Tracy Dye, Lisa Dye(Russ Peters), Tonya (Dave) Clark, Mindy Birr, Spencer Lewis, Travis Cook, Adam (Jeni) Cook and Nick Marth (fiancé Kacie Schneider; Great-grandchildren Corbin"Katrina", Brett and Makayla, Dane and Logan, Rylan, Kollin, and Kale, Ella and Lane, Amelia, Walker, Lilly and Olivia; step grandchildren Chad Lowell and Zachary (Tina) Lowell; seven step great-grandchildren; sister Rosetta Richards of Lady Lake, FL and sister in-law Pat Marth of Wisconsin Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Maurine Vehrs, brothers Roger and Warren Ratelle and infant granddaughter Melissa Lewis.

The Marth family would like to thank the staff at Nekoosa Court (formerly Retirement Community of Nekoosa) for the wonderful care that they gave our Mom.
