Harry R. North, age 74, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer

Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Father Patric will officiate. Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday at the Church from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Harry was born October 2, 1942 in Hammersmith, England to Harry and Gladys (Wheeler) North. He married Gerry Hentges on October 2, 1965 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Harry was employed at F.F. Mengel and later at Wisconsin Valley Concrete for many years retiring in 2010.

Harry was a member of the Grand Rapids Lions Club, was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Food Pantry. First was his time with his family, vacationing up north, pheasant hunting and cheering on his children and grandchildren at their activities. Harry loved to entertain and tell jokes.

Harry is survived by his wife, Gerry; two sons, Jay (Joanne) North of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Christopher (Laura) North of Appleton, WI; three daughters, Jodie (Ron) Leiser of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Jamie (Kerry Miltimore) North of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Elizabeth (Ryan) Iversen Albertville, MN; eleven grandchildren, Alyssa (Ryan Pulvermacher) North, Adam North, Paul (Niki) Leiser, Zach Leiser, Kaitlyn Leiser, Andy Leiser, Grace North, Chloe North, Max Iversen Addie Iversen and Baylor Iversen and Harry's first great grandchild is due in January 2018.

Harry is also survived by his brother, Peter Paterick; sister, Christine North and mother-in-law, Delores Hentges.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry North and Gladys Paterick and father-in-law, Gerald Hentges.
