Wilson, Juanita "Sandy"

Former Wisconsin Rapids resident Juanita J. "Sandy" (Sandrin Brager) Wilson passed peacefully November 27 in Osseo, MN after a short battle with cancer. She was born March 23, 1931 in Wisconsin Rapids to John and Emma (Martak) Sandrin. She was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School. She married Donald L. Brager, May 3, 1951 in Wisconsin Rapids. Sandy pursued her career as a working mom working for multiple government agencies as the family moved for Don's career with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming. Don passed away in 1975.

Sandy married Marvin R. Wilson January 1, 1978 in Helena, Montana. Upon Sandy and Marvin's retirement they traveled throughout the U.S. and Mexico in their motorhome. They also were able to visit Europe, Hawaii and Alaska. After several years of traveling they returned to Montana and built a house on their land in York, Montana. Summers were spent at York and winters were in Nevada until Marvin's death in 1998.

Sandy continued to live at York, Montana in the summer and wintered in Nevada until 2008 when she moved to Wisconsin Rapids. In December of 2016 she moved to Robbinsdale, MN to live near family. She lived independently in a senior apartment until this November when she moved to a hospice care facility.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and her sister and brother-in-law Arlene and Don Brewster. She is survived by her daughters Donna (Doug) Herman of Minneapolis, MN and Pat (Jim) Sanders of Duluth, MN: four grandchildren, Sara (Zach) Rieboldt; Karl (Kate) Herman, Augustus & Louie; Katie (Nathan) Downing, Lucas & Evie; and Sean Sanders. In addition, she is survived by Marvin's son Mark (Mary Ann) Wilson, John, Raymond, Therese, & Joseph and his daughter Brenda Anderson, Eugene & Candace.

In accordance with her wishes, no services were held. She was buried at Restlawn Cemetery next to her husband, Don. Memorials may be given to the or a .
