Karlene (Krueger) Kohls

Albuquerque, NM - Karlene (Krueger) Kohls, daughter of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Person) Krueger, was born September 18, 1948 in Wisconsin and went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 8, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico in her home. She had attained the age of 69 years. Karlene had made Wisconsin, Indiana and New Mexico her home. She was a devoted Administrative Assistant and had worked at Ball State Federal Credit Union, American National, and Albuquerque Gas Company. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran. On June 13, 1970, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Robert K. Kohls. To this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kevin R. Kohls (2013).

She is survived by her loving family; husband, Bob Kohls; daughter Kelley McMillen (Brian), two grandchildren Mikayla McMillen and Aiden James McMillen. She thought of Brian McMillen's nieces and nephews as grandchildren. Pauly Gettis, Jeremy Gettis, William Coogler, Matthew Coogler, Kayleigh Tirone, Rudy Cera Jr, Kyle Cera, Derek Cera, Rheina Cera, Korena Cera. She leaves behind her "sister" Pat Canfield from Wisconsin Rapids. A special thank you to Pat for being such as special friend through the years. She leaves behind her Lincoln High School Classmates 1966.

She spent her life supporting the Lincoln class of 66 reunions and helped prepare the class reunion members books. She enjoyed camping with Bob in Wisconsin during the summers. She will be missed by her family in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Texas. She loved crafting, playing Hand and Foot card games, and traditions at the holidays. Special thanks to her cousin, Dianne Krueger Gross and the comfort she brought in her final weeks. Special thanks to Harmony Hospice, especially Tamar, Skitch, Chris, and Brian, for all of the support and comfort brought to her and the family. She will be laid to rest next to her son at Sunset Memorial Park.

Services will be held on August 12 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 4301 Atrisco Dr. NW, with visitation one hour prior from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (Service will be streamed Live at Our Savior Lutheran Church). Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Albuquerque, NM.
