Foley, Lenore F.

Lenore F. Foley age 84 of Nekoosa, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa. Rev. John Swing will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa is assisting the family. Lenore was born October 24, 1932 in Mellen to George and Ann (Windt) Green. She married John Foley on October 20, 1954 in Nekoosa. He died August 2, 2011. Lenore was employed as the church secretary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 25 years. In earlier years, she was worked at the print shop of Nekoosa Papers, Inc.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish Council of Catholic Women. Her interests included oil painting, painting ceramics and gardening. Most of all, Lenore enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Donald (Chris) Foley of Hortonville, Susan Smolarek of Elkhorn, and Karen (Greg) Fuehrer of Wisconsin Rapids; six grandchildren, Brian (Rochelle) Foley, Kevin (Sheila) Foley, Lindsay Smolarek, Jason (Heather) Smolarek, Adam (Lindsey) Fuehrer and Leah (Mikeal) Eckstein; seven great-grandchildren, Mia, Lucas, Lily, Bronson,

Nolan, Griffin, and Briella; her brother, Donald Green of Oak Creek; and her sister, Rosemary Field of LaCrosse.

Lenore was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Robert Green and two sisters, Doris Nessi and Margie Grode.
