Lecy, Loren D.

Loren D. Lecy, age 62, of Arkdale, Wisconsin passed away after a lengthy illness Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017, at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Loren was born April 7, 1955, in Mauston, Wisconsin to Helmer and Myrtle (Pedersen) Lecy. He graduated from Adams-Friendship High School 1973. Loren married Karen Grahl in 1987, she preceded him in death on December 18, 2004. He married Peggy L. Henriksen on May 9, 2015, in Arkdale, Wisconsin. Loren was employed at the Adams County Sheriff's Department for over 30 years and co-owner of L&L Winter Toys. He enjoyed hunting, vintage snowmobiling, ATVing, teaching hunter safety, being a prankster, the Brewers, Packers, Badgers, local sporting events, NASCAR, and mentoring kids. He loved spending time at the log house and at the shop with Dad. His biggest love was his family. Loren was a member of The Old Farmer's Antique Club, A.A.S.S.T.I.S, 4-H, Luther League at Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church, a past member of Bass Masters and a Charter member of the Roche-A-Cri Lions. He was coach of Edgewater Marine Softball Team and the dispatcher for the Lions' Eye Bank.

Loren was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Lecy, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include his wife, Peg Lecy; parents, Helmer & Myrtle Lecy; sisters, Janis & Bob Cada & Jodi (Jim Grabarski) Helgeson; brother, Lonny (Lucille) Lecy; brother-in-law, Rich Grahl; nieces & nephews, Heather (Matt) Wendland, Lars (Helena) Helgeson, Crystal (Larry) Nawrot, Nicholas Cada, Allen Grahl, Jason Grahl, Michelle (Ben) Schumacher, Lavender (Doug) Hudson, and Godson-Kyle (Monica) Cada; great-nieces & nephews, Amelia Hudson, Lillian Hudson, Samantha Wendland, Mayson Nawrot, Myles Nawrot, and Baby Cada due in December; extended family, Lisa (Jeff) Chojnacki; son, Joey Chojnacki; God Mother, Gladys McKinley and God Daughter, Georgette Tolley. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
