Minocqua - Myra M. Smedbron, age 95, of Rhinelander, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Myra was born July 1, 1922, in Stevens Point, WI, to the late Herman and Augusta (Hinca) Lutz. She married her next door neighbor and classmate, Lloyd Smedbron, on September 28, 1946, in Nekoosa, WI; he passed away in 1987.

After Lloyd's military service in the U.S. Army was completed, they were married and lovingly raised three children. In the mid 1960's, Lloyd and Myra moved to Rhinelander, WI, where Myra was employed in retail at Montgomery Ward for 16 years. In 1973, they built their home in the McNaughton area where they enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the Northwoods.

Myra was a talented baker and cook often sharing her famous banana bread with family and friends. A woman of faith and the heart of the Smedbron family, Myra was devoted to the Holy Rosary and faithfully prayed and attended Mass up until her death.
