Bob's greatest enjoyment was watching his grandchildren participate in dance, swimming, baseball, volleyball, softball, football and rugby. Travel distance was no object. Bob's second enjoyment was coyote hunting with his son, grandson, nephews, brother in laws and friends driving his pickup truck known to the hunters as "Big Red". Bob received the nickname "Johnny Cash of coyote hunting". Bob was a 25 year member of the Rome Fire Department and retired in March due to his health. Bob was one of the original fire department members when the department was formed in 1974 and held a captain position at that time. Bob was a member of the Deer Lodge Deer Hunting Club. Bob also enjoyed snowmobiling, his nickname was "Yamaha Bob", ATVing especially in the mud, camping and pontooning. Bob also was a member of the Lakes Area Christian Fellowship Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Terri; son Robert (Maria) Anderson, three grandchildren Breanna, Ashley and Joshua and great granddaughter Claire.
