Robert E. Andres, age 94, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Friday October 6, 2017 at Edgewater Haven nursing home in Port Edwards. Visitation will be held at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home 631 E. Grand Ave., Wisconsin Rapids, on Tuesday, October 10, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will again be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery with military honors.

Robert was born March 2, 1923 in Day, WI. To John and Olga (Schlotthauer) Andres. He served in the US Army from 1943 to 1946. Robert married Jeanette Mana on July 31, 1952. Robert remarried and met his forever love Dolores Coel and they were married June 9, 1962 in Wisconsin Rapids. He was employed by Consolidated Paper Co. for 35 years.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He always had a smile on his face and never complained about anything. He looked forward to going camping every year. He also loved to travel, riding his bike, taking his scooter for a spin, going to church, his many animals and anything that involved going outdoors. Robert's fondest trip was with the Honor Flight to Washington D.C.

He is survived by his 5 daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Weinfurter of Wisconsin Rapids, Angela (Raymond Jr.) Cruz of Madison, Suzette (Steve) Bottjen of Wisconsin Rapids, Diane Styka of Port Edwards and Sharon "Sheri" (Dan) Thompson of Wisconsin Rapids; 11 grandchildren, Katie, Jamie, Raymond III, Montana, Guy, Essence, Matt, Scott, Desiree (Wade), Alaina and Eric; 3 great-grandchildren, Kiah, Dakota and Gavin; 2 sisters, Margaret Gansch and Lauretta Taushek; one brother Roman and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dolores, four brothers; Herbert, Ervin, James and Raymond; 2 sisters, Betty and Alma; and son-in-law Michael Styka.

Roberts's family would like to thank everyone at Edgewater Haven nursing home for the excellent care and support they provided and everyone involved with the Aspirus Hospice team.
