Roy was a loyal friend to many, especially for 80 plus years with Emil Kouba, fishing with Dick See, and hunting with Don "Wede" Varsho for several years. He often visited the shop of Havel Motors. Roy was an avid gardener, often sharing the bountiful produce with many neighbors while considering Chuck and Lonnie Reiman to be the "World's Greatest Neighbors". Roy was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend who enjoyed his extended family from both of his marriages. He always thought life was good.

He is survived his children, Karla Repta of Neenah, Deb Repta of Naperville, IL, Tom (Debbie) Sowatzke of Nekoosa, and Donna Sowatzke (fiancé Dennis Ebert, Jr.) of Nekoosa; two grandsons, Tyler Sowatzke (fiancé Erin Durrant) of Oshkosh and Jake Sowatzke of Nekoosa; his brother, Jerry (Doris) Repta of Wisconsin Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wives Shirley and Virginia, his parents, his son John Repta, his brother, John Repta, and four sisters, Julia (Art) Ritchie, Pauline Repta, Betty Kukler, and Anne (Vern) Panega. He was also preceded in death by his faithful dog, Luther.
