John Aldred Obituary
Passed away in
Worthing Hospital on
15th December 2020, aged 99,
after a short illness.
Sincere thanks to doctor's and nurse's on Emergency and Eartham wards for their care and dedication.
Husband of the late Beryl and previously Vera, he was father to Brian, Alison and the late Graham. He was a dearly loved granddad of 13 and great grandpa of 27.
During his long career in the Film Industry he was much respected and admired in his field, for his work with all aspects of Film Sound on 57 films. He was a Past President and Fellow of the British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society.
He was also Past President and active member of the Goring Probus Club where he organised many socials and trips over the years. Also he was a member of Worthing U3A.
He was often seen in the Goring area heading for the sea front on his trusted mobility scooter or coffees around Worthing including Sea Lane café.
