William M. Creggar William "Bill" Moore Creggar, 71, of Ceres died Friday, March 12, 2010, at his home. Funeral service was held Tuesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church in Ceres. Interment was in the Sharon Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ceres. He was born in Richmond. He attended Bethany United Methodist Church in Ceres. He retired as a first sergeant having served 32 years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He worked 35 years with the Bland County School System and was a loyal member of Bland Masonic Lodge 206 A.F. & A.M. where he served as Worshipful Master in 1975 and served as secretary from 1979 to 2008. He was a proud Mason for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.H, and Margaret Kitts Cregar. Survivors include a sister, Ethel Hubble of Dublin; a brother, E.H. Cregar of Dalton, Ga.; extended special family, Frankie and Penny, Eric, Chrissy, Samantha, Cody and Evan Gray; special friends, Joann Repass, G.H. Peery, Wade Hall, Patrick Groseclose and Larry Waddle; his many close friends with the Bland County School System; and his Masonic Brethren of many local Masonic lodges. Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Children's Home of the Highlands Inc., 425 Grayson Road, Wytheville, VA 24382; or the Masonic Home of Virginia, 4101 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA 23223-4916. Highland Bland Chapel in Bland was in charge of the arrangements.
