XENIA — Harold Franklin Rodin, 84, of Xenia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Harmony Center of Xenia. He was born November 26, 1933, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Guy and Ada Kimbrough Rodin. He was a member of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church and was a member of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War. He was a Past District Governor of the Lions Club International and was the owner of Harold F. Rodin Realty. He was also a Certified Document Examiner and the Greene County District Disaster Relief Chairman for the Red Cross after the 1974 Xenia Tornado. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy J. (Timmerman) Rodin, who he married on June 15, 1953, his son, Darrell R. (Cheryl) Rodin of Xenia, Ohio, his son-in-law, Mark Perez of Enterprise, Alabama, grandchildren, Melissa "AJ" (Loren) Easter of Lucasville, Ohio, Darrell "Deuce" (Arlene) Rodin of Warsaw, Indiana, Danielle (Josh) Whited of Jamestown, Ohio, Krissy Rodin of Xenia, Ohio, Nikki (Micah) Davis of Jamestown, Ohio, Nathan (Meghan) Perez of Fredericksburg, Virginia, 15 great grandchildren, Savannah Easter, Noah Smith, Levi Easter and Lorann Easter of Lucasville, Ohio, Zade Rodin and Fia Rodin of Warsaw, Indiana, Cara Rodin-Brewer, Dakota Whited, Joshua "JJ" Whited, Cheyanne and Destiny Stonerock of Jamestown, Ohio, Dylan Smith, Devin Smith and Ryker Davis of Jamestown, Ohio and Durant Perez of Fredericksburg, Virginia, 2 brothers, Larry (Verna) Rodin of Amarillo, Texas and Carl Rodin of Portage, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Terri Perez, with whom he is reunited with now, and 3 brothers, Vic Rodin, Mike Rodin, and Wesley Rodin and one sister, Elsie Carroll. Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at Neeld Funeral Home in Xenia, Ohio. Services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 10 am at Neeld Funeral Home in Xenia, Ohio, 1276 N. Detroit Street., Xenia, Ohio with Rev. Ronald Swiger officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite Christian charity of choice in his memory.
