William Deibler
Thomasville - William A. Deibler, age 86, passed away suddenly at home on August 15, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Gladys L. (Huyett) and the late Virginia A. (Wood) Deibler.
Bill was born in Hellam and was the son of the late William A. Sr. and Mary Ellen (Witherow) Deibler. He retired from GTE/Sylvania in York in 1992 and then worked as a custodian for Christ American Baptist Church in Spring Grove until he retired from there in 2016.
He is survived by his children Brian K. Deibler and Michele Cauchon and husband Michael; his step-children Harold Wood and wife Karen, John Wood, Cheryl Spangler and husband Marlon, Larry Wood and wife Karen, Dennis Wood and wife Bev, Barbara Neiman and husband Lowell; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and his daughter-in-law Diane Deibler. He was predeceased by 2 brothers.
A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 am at Christ American Baptist Church, 730 Menges Mills Rd., Spring Grove PA 17362 with Pastor Todd Witmer officiating. Interment will follow the service at Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10-11 am at the church. Family services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., of Spring Grove.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Christ American Baptist Church.
