DALLASTOWN Marie J. (Henry) Amspacher, 94, of Manor Care Dallastown, formerly of Glen Rock, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at the home. She was the wife of the late Preston M. Amspacher. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, 3444 Sticks Road, (Route 216), Glen Rock, with her pastor, the Rev. Paula L. Murray, officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Mrs. Amspacher was born on August 18, 1918, in Codorus Township, a daughter of the late Allen F. and Katie (Strausbaugh) Henry. She had been employed as a seamstress for over 20 years at the former Seven Valleys Garment Company and assisted her late husband in the farming operations of their farm in Codorus Township for many years. She was a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jefferson Fire Company, and the Auxiliary to the Shrewsbury Lutheran Home. Marie leaves a daughter, Loretta M. Sechrist of Glen Rock; a son, Nevin M. Amspacher of York; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Allene Mummert of Hanover and Fern Albright of Glen Rock; and a brother, Robert Henry of Glen Rock. She was also predeceased by a sister, Romaine Miller, and a brother, Lester Henry. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, 3444 Sticks Road, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
