Florence M. Landis

YORK Florence M. Landis, 77, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of Harold L. Landis, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage. Born in York, on October 31, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Oerman) Noel. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Eugene B. Landis and his wife, Donna of East Berlin, Pamela J. Landis of York, Darlene M. DuBois and her husband, Brian of Warrenton, Va., Brenda I. Shearer and her husband, Gary of Seven Valleys, Cindy D. Stambaugh and her husband, Lee of York, Wanda M. House and her husband, Skip of Burleson, Texas, and Michael A. Landis and his wife, Wendy of Red Lion; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Amanda Hoff, Frances Rouscher, Theresa Wise, Helen Brillhart, and Betty Brillhart, all of York. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, 947 N. George St., York, with the Rev. Beth A. Schlegel, STS officiating. A viewing will be on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held immediately following the service in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.
