June Geraldine Barner MT. HOLLY SPRINGS June Geraldine (Bucher) Bar ner, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 5:24 a.m., after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Herman L. & Mae E. (Gelnett) Bucher of Liverpool. She was preceded in death by her only brother, Glenn A. Bucher. She was a 1939 graduate of Liverpool High School. She attended Sunday School and Church all of her life and rarely missed any services, prior to her illness. She was a member of Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church and Joy Sunday School Class and the Mt. Holly Springs Golden Age Club. She touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. She was a loving and devoted wife, mothers, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Barner is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, The Rev. J. Kenneth Barner; four children, Karen L. Loving of Speedwell, Tenn, Donna B. Hoffman of Boiling Springs, Bruce L. Barner of Mt. Holly Springs and Christine E. Barner of Dover; five grandchildren, Jennifer Hoffman Odon of Harrisburg, Jillian Hoffman of Boiling Springs, Denton Loving of Speedwell, Tenn, Jeremy Barner and Erin Barner, both of Carlisle; one great-grandson, Jaden Barner of Carlisle; several nieces and nephews; and her 103 year old great-aunt, Arna Hockenbroch. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 202 West Butler St., Mt. Holly Springs, with the Rev. Bradley C. Knepp officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. in her church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity that helps feed the hungry, that was near and dear to Gerry's heart.
