Martin L. Englehart Sr.

WRIGHTSVILLE Martin L. Englehart, Sr., 76, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. He was the husband of the late Jeanette S. (Fahringer) Englehart. Martin was born in Columbia, on December 8, 1936, a son of the late Edward and Edna Mae (Spickler) Englehart. He was a peacetime veteran with the U.S. Army. Martin loved country music and singing. He also loved watching Notre Dame football. He was a life member of Wrightsville Social Club and the Seagraves Social Club and a member of Abel-Poff-Leithiser American Legion Post 469. Martin is survived by five sons, Martin L. Englehart, Jr. and wife, Julie, Butch Englehart and wife, Donna, Sam Englehart and wife, Amy, Ernest L. Englehart and companion, Terri Mobley, and Todd Englehart; three daughters, Ellie M. Englehart and companion, Jeff Arnold, Melda M. Englehart and companion, Mike Gable, Janella "Packy" Englehart and fiance, Walter "Bub" Lighty; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert L. Englehart; and a sister, Edna Mae Witmer. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Service, 700 Hellam St., Wrightsville. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with graveside military rites provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
