Richard L. King

MANCHESTER Richard L. King, 75, died at 3:09 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Memorial Hospital. Born November 26, 1937, in York, a son of the late Raymond E. and Mabel H. (Shildt) King, he was retired from International Paper and its predecessor, South Pacific Box Factory, after 40 years of employment. He was a member of Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren in York, and Manchester Union Fire Company #1 since 1958. He also had been active in Scouting for 50 years, and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Mr. King is survived by nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond E. King, Jr., and his twin brother, Robert W. King. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren, 645 Madison Ave., York, with his Pastor, The Rev. Keith E. Hollenberg, officiating. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
