NEW OXFORD Shirley N. (Shoemaker) Eisenhart, 78, passed peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2014, at The Brethren Home Community, with her daughter by her side. She was the wife of Richard E. "Dick" Eisenhart, who died January 7, 1994. Shirley was born October 30, 1935, in York, the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Richie) Shoemaker. Shirley was a member of St. Paul's "Red Run" U.C.C. in East Berlin, and was employed for 33 years at Bon Ton Foods in York. She was a graduate of Dover High School, a member of the East Berlin V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the East Berlin Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, delivered meals on wheels, and was a former member of the Order of The Eastern Star. She will be missed by her family and friends, and was a great mother and mother-in-law. Her favorite job was being a grandma to Dylan. She was a hard worker and was always eager to help others. Her favorite time was when she was on the dance floor, as she loved to get the party started and have fun. We hope everyday will be fun now. Shirley is survived by a daughter, Kin E. Hagerman and her husband, David of East Berlin; a grandson, Dylan M. Hagerman of New Oxford; two brothers, Donald Shoemaker and his wife, Betty, and Leonard Shoemaker and his wife, Janey, all of Dover; and a sister, Connie Raber and her husband, Larry of Dover. She was predeceased by two sisters, Kay Brandt and Hazel Stambaugh; and four brothers, Owen, Floyd, Wayne, and Dale Shoemaker. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, with her pastor, the Rev. Sheresa Simpson-Rice, officiating.
